Week Eight

I am incredibly excited about a new discovery of mine. Over my week ‘off painting’, I confined myself to the print rooms in the School of Art. I am after all taking printmaking! Due to unforeseen circumstances I found myself playing around with some photography chemicals and film. I have devised a painterly way of creating photo negatives and therefore combining the processes. It is incredibly exciting for me. The possibilities of this are phenomenal, my mind is bursting with ideas about it. I have included a sneak preview…

The break has done me good! I will be experimenting with Cliché verre and other sorts of photo-like processes. I can feel the influence on my painting before I have painted anything more!
